Vesak Festival festival is celebrated all over the world to mark the birth the attainment of Buddhahood and away of lord Buddha. In large cities pandals are erected. In smaller ones small pandals are erected. Alms are given to the poorthough “Dansala” at every junction. Pepple organise to offer soft drinks to the sight seeers. No one refuses these generous offers. To please others they accept same. In sri lanka the impressive decorationsand illuminations for vesak are found in Colombo and kandy. The tourists make it a point to visit our country during vesak. The Dalada Maligawa and Kalaniya Temple are the well decorated and illuminated places. The temple of the tooth relic is and attraction of the tourists Vesak days.
